Since the beginning of our theatre program, students have begged to attempt a musical, but we were not equipped. The portable sound system will allow students the ability to move freely onstage while they sing and deliver lines. They have been working on projection in line delivery, but adding a musical component requires more than they can achieve on their own. The portable sound system will also help to level the playing field when they go to theatre festivals in the fall to compete with other schools. They were at a disadvantage this year because they didn't have needed funding.
