A light table is a table that is illuminated with light. This light table will be used daily to help teach literacy, math, science writing skills though a hand on play approach. Light tables are known for drawing children towards them because of the light and are often calmed by the visual stimulation. With the variety of items we can work on using the light table we can also work on building attention span, increase their on task times for work on sharing in materials. This light table would open up many more learning opportunities for the students in my class.
