These materials that I have chosen are vital to the success and goals that I have set for my students. I teach Reading and I will use Reading Comprehension Games Library - Gr. 4-5 to incorporate fun ways to infer, understand main idea and details, and learn cause and effect. In my class, there are several learning styles and many of my students love hands-on learning games. Tricky Words & Phrases Teaching Cards will be great for teaching my students to find the meaning of unfamiliar words using learning games. Fiction & Nonfiction Paired Passages will help my students learn to tackle paired selections and how to compare and contrast them. Classroom Bluetooth® Speaker will be helpful because it will allow the students to listen to interactive text on a nook or a tablet in group activities. The Nonfiction Reading Comprehension Practice Cards will help the students that need intervention with how to understand nonfiction text. The rest of the items are teacher materials needed to use for vocabulary instruction, organize student work portfolios, and laminate activities for workstations. These activities and games that I have selected will stimulate their cognitive abilities to make a connection to the content that I teach in class with learning games. I want to ensure students are exposed to these literacy skills because it will enable them to be 21st century thinkers and learners.
