Our robotics team currently has three five-year-old laptops which started showing their age in our last competition year with network errors and slow speeds. We have six students who would like to learn programming this year for robotics. Current students are sharing the three laptops available. Three new laptop computers would give our team a one-to-one laptop to student ratio and ensure we have reliable equipment for competition this year. Computer programming skills will serve the students on our robotics team now and in their future careers. The programming students on our team are highly motivated to learn although most of their families are unable to finance new computers. These computers will be used by current students and new students in the future on the team.
