Using yoga as a skill and tool to regulate emotions will help students use positive behavior in their in school suspension. With productive time in detention students will learn mental health work, yoga, trauma informed yoga, and begin group therapy in flexible seating. The hope is that time roaming the halls and not doing work will lead them to a place where they will complete their ISS in a productive manner. Trauma informed practices result in less behavioral obstacles. The research shows that productive detentions lead to students who will be ore motivated in their school, and more self aware.
