My students are 5 and 6 year olds who attend a public, charter, French immersion school. What it means, is that they follow the state curriculum in French all day and discover a new culture as well as a new language on a day to day basis. Some kids come from lower income families and getting a taste of green eggs and ham is not a priority in itself.
