I have to keep up with my changing students to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interests of my students. Students in my classroom like to read about superheroes, dinosaurs, princesses and animals. When they read, I notice they like to get comfortable. The bean bags and soft seats are going to make them relax so they can simply enjoy reading. In the photo I submitted, you will see what our current reading corner looks like. I am hopeful that with your donation, I can turn it into a cozy and colorful reading nook! My classroom library needs to be a place that my students really enjoy-a place THEY choose to be in- a place where they can escape into their stories by reading independently! The colorful bins are going to be so inviting to them. They will be so excited to look through them each day. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and my NEW classroom library will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help grow their love of books!
