Having technology available to my students will enhance their learning whether they are practicing math or reading skills. I will instruct students on how to use the Fire tablets for independent learning tasks as well as working cooperatively in learning centers. I will acquire high quality apps such as Word Wizard, StarFall, Epic and a variety of Math apps. I will engage my students in math and literacy activities based on their ability and range of needs. They could also learn to access books from a digital library which would give them the opportunity to listen to higher level books that they are unable to read on their own. I have a fantastic group of students who are eager to learn and these tablets will be a great asset in helping them become more successful with their reading and math skills. Your generosity towards this resource will greatly help with a variety of subject areas and allow me to reach different types of learners and ability levels.
