I would like to offer all sorts of "seating" choices in my classroom as well as organizational tools. The students will be able to explore what works best for them in a safe and caring environment. The organization tools help keep students organized to know where their things are and in an order that materials are easy to find. Less time is wasted and more learning can occur. This is a life skill. With flexible seating, my students will be able to collaborate better with their peers. They will be able to make choices about their seating and learn what works best for them. By having these choices and learning about themselves as a student, my students will be better prepared and will be able to take ownership of their learning.
