Physics is an incredibly math-heavy science class. It is vital for students to have their own calculator during labs and exams to reduce temptation and enhance student learning. My physics classroom currently only has 4 working, outdated calculators for classes of up to 20 students. It was common that students would complete a calculation, share their calculator with a classmate, but then lose track of their thoughts when they would have to wait to get a calculator back. The TI-Nspire calculators will be perfect for my classes. We currently own motion detectors that are not compatible with my 4 calculators, but they ARE compatible with the TI-Nspires. These allow students to review and edit previous calculations which can be the difference for many of my students who struggle with physics content.
