Our students have faced many challenges at home and in the community, many before their school day even begins. We have asked for a variety of sensory bins and tools , like water beads, sand, and fidgets, that will assist our students with Autism to stay calm throughout the day. We have asked for alternative seating, like balance ball chairs, for our students to be able to move while working to increase focus. We have asked for sensory and fidget toys to assist our students with their stress and anxiety. We have also asked for board games and activities, like Mindfulness Matters and the Self Esteem game, that we can use during group counseling and interventions when students cannot be maintained in the classroom. These materials will enable our students to develop social skills, release energy, and handle daily stress to better equip them to focus in the classroom. These tools will also help our students develop coping skills to assist them in their daily lives and help them develop skills for the future. Please consider helping our students grow and achieve their goals while they learn how to better manage their daily struggles and diagnoses. Thank you so much for your consideration in funding this project!
