Help my students engage with hundreds of audiobooks! For many students, being read aloud to is the only way for them to engage in grade level appropriate texts. Many of my classes have over 32 students. With this many learners in one area, it is impossible for students to listen to audiobooks without causing large disruption for other readers in the class. Having a class set of headphones would allow for students to not only listen to audiobooks during silent reading time, but would also allow for so many different opportunities for differentiation in my instruction. Having this many headphones would allow students to work independently using different videos, songs, and other audible resources. Having headphones would also allow my vision impaired students to listen to books that would otherwise not be made available to them through large print or braille!
