The materials I am seeking is to help me create a classroom with flexible seating where students do not need to sit at their desks for the entire school day. A flexible setting allows children to move about the room to complete the work and to interact with other students. Creating a classroom with flexible seating will help foster cooperation, collaboration, and creativity. Those elements are some of the basic principles in helping students become more empathetic and compassionate towards others. My goal is to teach "our" students not only the traditional curriculum and help them succeed, but also to teach them to be better citizens of the world. I am a firm believer of finding a balance between the academics and character education where we teach our children to be compassionate and loving.
