Students in all grades will benefit from the percussion instruments (the rhythm kit, tambourines, claves, sleigh bells, cowbell, and finger symbols). They will learn about steady beat, tempo, and rhythm. These concepts are the foundation of music making. I can't wait to hear all the music they create! The older students will benefit the most from the melodic instruments (the boomwhackers and handbells). It is part of their curriculum to begin learning notes and experimenting with harmony. With the help of these supplies, my students will become musically literate and proficient performers before they leave for middle school. Instruments are an important part of a well rounded education, and my students are so eager to learn!
