My students attend a Title 1 charter school in a neighborhood that wants to see their children graduate from college, many of whom will be the first in their family. My students know we are very fortunate to have art classes, and they work very hard. Our elementary campus serves over 300 K-5 students, each of whom receives regular art instruction. Despite the rigorous academic load and longer school days, our students arrive every morning with smiles, ready to learn.
