The world is in turmoil, and education is the key to enacting change. I want to explore the history of hatred, racism, and violence with my students in order to reach an understand of why we hate, what hate does to our society, and what it does to individuals and families. My hope is that through a book study lesson in which students are allowed to choose their book, discuss it together, and reflect as a class, I will be able to increase interest and help students explore their own prejudices.

About my class
