NYC students need more hands-on experiences with coding technology! Microbits and sphero mini robots are a GREAT way to get kids interested in USING coding in the real world. This year we have been using SCRATCH.mit.edu to write progrmas using block code. Hopefully we can go to the next level to make video games with real controllers using the Microbits. I would also like to have the students collaborate in a TEAM activity to have them design and compete in Maze challenges with the sphero robots. I know that when the students incorporate the physical world with the programming world - it will engage them and get them working.
