As you walk into a classroom what is the first thing you see along the walls? BOOKS! Every genre and level you can think of available at children's finger tips. My project is to give my students more opportunities to learn through reading. This project will allow my students to be exposed to a variety of genres and themes, stories that represent both themselves and the world around them, and authentic literature that supports students interests and needs. Having a classroom library is an integral part of a literacy program. "Without engagement, you have nothing." -Jennifer Serravallo, author and literacy consultant
