Students are generally only exposed to scientific and graphing calculators. While these calculators are good and serve as great purpose, they are limited in the finance world. Financial Calculators will assist students when working with business calculations such as Break Even Analysis, Depreciation, Net Present Value of Money, Statistics, Loan Payments, and Interest rates. Students currently calculate values in Accounting and Personal Finance using scientific calculators however Financial Calculators would benefit each student. For example, the ability to enter a percentage or rate by simply inputting the value and activating the % button eliminates computation errors. Allowing the calculator to do the simple tasks permits more time dedicated to higher learning concepts as time is not spent on decimal conversions.
