My first grade students love to read books, especially about animals. These two books are at just the right levels, go along with our weekly themes, have fun characters, and will be great addition to our Reading curriculum. The students are always more excited about reading our theme books versus strictly using our reading series. The Pete the Cat and Little Critter books fit perfectly into our themes later this school year, and the students love these characters! We have enough for small groups but are hoping to add to our books to make a classroom set to use for reading and comprehension activities during these theme weeks.
