The materials I have selected will complement the few materials we have already, to allow the students to fully engage in play! With the costumes and play food my students will be able to transform a corner of our room into a diner, a grocery store, or even a fancy wedding- all while practicing their oral language, communication, and other social skills! The options like trains, animals, or blocks allow the children to create all kids of buildings, roads, and shelters while they immerse themselves in play! All of these materials also help my students to take breaks from our regular curriculum throughout the day, and practice what they are learning, in a way where they are able to make meaning of it for themselves. I am excited to be able to offer new choices to keep my students creativity and imaginations developing!
