Art projects capture young students' imaginations and allow them to express themselves. In Early Childhood Education, we integrate art into every aspect of the curriculum. This project will allow us to address art on three levels: replenishing basic classroom supplies, creating a special art center that can be used during choice time, and developing specific art projects that will expose students to new techniques and materials. Art supplies that we use every day include watercolors, markers, sketchbooks, pens, and play-doh. With this project I will have enough supplies to replenish materials as students need them, replacing a single marker rather than having to get out a new pack whenever they run dry. My students love to color and draw from their imaginations when they have free time at the end of the day to choose an activity, so we will also set up an art center with special markers and coloring books. Also, I'm asking for a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card for having some activities in Spanish.
