I teach in an urban district and many of my students live in environments where their most basic needs have not been met. As a result, they often find it difficult to meet the social and academic demands of school. With your support, I can begin to equip my students with the coping skills they need to be well-adjusted adults. "I feel safe and calm when I am here!" -6th Grader My therapeutic classroom is a warm and inviting space where students learn how to center themselves and reflect on things they are doing well and ways they can improve. By using a whole child approach to education, it is my hope that students are able to find safe and healthy ways to deal with the challenges of life.

About my class
