The tools and materials I am interested in will be used daily. My students each have an iPad that they use for instruction. Our online math program, Zearn, requires each student to have a pair of headphones. This way, they can listen to the online directions. The styluses would also allow them to use the online math manipulatives with ease. All the tools will be used to further my students' knowledge of curriculum and technology. The styluses, as well as the Apple Pen, will help with handwriting and other writing assignments. We use different apps to help students learn how to form letters and numbers, write spelling words and sight words, and create multimedia presentations. We also listen to online books and use other phonics software to help students learn to read. I use online books for guided reading, independent reading, and comprehension. Students are able to listen to stories to engage them in reading and also listen to a model of correct and fluent reading. The headphones will allow students to hear each story loud and clear. I will use the Apple Pen to create running records on my iPad of my students and their reading. The pen will come in handy as I create assignments as well as benchmark.
