I work in Stamford, an incredibly diverse city in southern Connecticut. In our school district, students come from a wide variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. 52% of students qualify for the federal/reduced lunch program. The students I work with in speech-language intervention are hard-working and motivated to succeed in life. Access to Chromebooks during our speech-language sessions will increase students' engagement, provide more opportunities for practice, and help them to build their language abilities, while increasing technology skills needed for success in today's world. By donating to this project, you will empower my student to be active participants in their own learning, and interact with language in new and creative ways.
