The goal of my classroom project is to give students the tools and strategies to work collaboratively in a creative setting. I am asking for read aloud books that focus on kindness and growth mindset to encourage the students to work collaboratively in groups during science and art. Positive social skills are essential for effective group work. I often have my students working in groups which is why it is essential to explicitly give them tools and strategies to use during group work. Students will work collaboratively during all subjects, including science and art. For this reason, I am asking for art and science supplies as well. This will give students an outlet for creativity in a safe, educational setting.
