Literacy is something we hold near and dear in our classroom. Not only is reading a crucial skill our students need in order to be most successful in school and life, but it is a means of entertainment, escape, expression, and engagement. My students deserve every opportunity to escape into a good book and catch up with their favorite characters. Authors like Rick Riordan and James Patterson fill their pages with stories that take our students to another world, and educate them in ways they don't even realize. By utilizing a variety of book series like Middle School, Artemis Fowl, and Goosebumps, our students on all levels of reading can find a book to comprehend fully and fall in love with. Please help us build the library these students both want and need.
