Our school's AVID program is growing and my class has to share the whiteboards we currently have with another class. Because of this, my students are not participating in tutorials correctly as part of the AVID curriculum. Tutorials are vital to the AVID process and student learning. Whiteboards are the main item used in a tutorial setting. Students work in groups of 7 and use each other as resources to get help with learning from their core classes. The students use the whiteboards to write their problems and steps on the board, and students will ask questions to guide the presenter. Tutorials are completed twice a week, as per the AVID curriculum. These whiteboards will provide my AVID students with the materials needed to properly engage in a tutorial session, helping students continue to be successful and learn.
