Because the curriculum at our at-risk campus is technology-based, our students must sit in front of a computer most of the day. My students need to have more comfortable and optional seating so that their focus can remain on gaining a high school diploma rather than on physical discomfort. Perch stools will allow students to quickly go from sitting to standing to sitting again without disruption in the classroom. Additionally, students will be able to focus for longer periods of time while standing according to educational research. A comfortable environment will allow my students to more quickly reach their goal of a high school diploma despite their daily challenges inside and outside of school.
