My students need these books so they can read them and hold their own mock Newbery election. My students are voracious readers! They can't get enough of good literature, they love to get lost in a good book and they enjoy discussing books with one another. My students are hungry to get their hands on the latest and greatest literature of the year. Students want to read the books that may be considered for the honorary Newbery Award for children's literature for the next year. Please help them be able to read all of these great books. My class loves to read. They want to cast their (mock) votes for next year's Newbery Award winner. This project will allow them to read them all, discuss the books with their classmates and then cast their vote for the one they think deserves the award. Your generous donation will provide these readers with the books so they can read these fabulous novels and voice their opinions. Each student will be able to read and then nominate their choice for the mock award. Then, the students will vote to determine the winner! The mock Newbery election can happen with your support.
