The listening center will enhance our reading block by providing my students an area to practice phonemic awareness by listening to sounds while following along with an activity card. The center will also promote listening comprehension while students are listening to stories and completing a comprehension activity to go along with the story. Students will have the opportunity to work independently or with a partner. A listening center will provide more opportunities for students to be exposed to a variety of literature while enhancing an enjoyment for books. As the teacher, I have done extensive research and reading on Listening Centers in the primary grades. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
