First grade is a critical year for students to learn to read. Foundational skills are taught in this grade, students transition from emerging readers to readers. With COVID-19 disruptions, my students have never had a "normal" school year. These disruptions have caused delays in learning. We have access to many digital resources we are utilizing to make learning fun-The headphones will allow students to become more engaged in various reading apps. The books will help develop a love for reading and allow students to explore the world outside the four walls of our classroom, without ever leaving the classroom.
