With this rug my students will no longer have to sit on the cold hard floor while I read to them and demonstrate the lesson for that day. Grades K-3rd will be using this often and as the weather gets colder it will help them stay warmer. When they first come into my room they sit on the floor next to my desk. I usually start off by reading them a book that relates to the lesson for that day. Afterwards I show them step by step directions on how to do the project. Then they move to the tables to create their masterpieces. If they happen to finish early many of them choose to read a book. This rug will become an option for book reading.
