Working at a Title 1 school has its challenges, providing students with rich and meaningful literature is one that I have found to be the most difficult in my classroom. Our dual immersion program is still pretty new, and we are slowly, still gathering all the necessary materials and resources to make it an effective program for our children. I am requesting Spanish books for my classroom to provide all of my students with the opportunity to engage meaningfully in the language and to delve deeper into the world of reading. The addition of more books in my classroom will give my students an excitement and motivation to get reading. With your generous donation, we can provide students with the tools necessary to be well on their way towards bi-literacy!
