In a very competitive world, with very little resources given to the arts in school, unleashing creativity needs to be nurtured in many ways. It will be the creativite mind that will have the edge in life. In order to gain understanding of such a vast ocean of art possibilities, it is important for students to have exposure to digital art. We will use our iPads to explore the elements and principles as it pertains to graphic design, animation, digital photography, and printmaking along with other such professions that use digital tools for visual awareness. Our first project will be to understand some if the latest programs and applications that can be useful when creating digital art. An actual project will follow in order to check for understanding. One of the first projects will be creating an animated character of oneself.
