Flexible seating, what a great way to provide my students with a friendly and welcoming learning environment where they have a sense of belonging. The flexible seating will also provide my students with freedom of choice to sit where they feel most comfortable. The flexible seating will allow my students to be comfortable when learning, to help them with staying focused, and give them the feeling of control over their own learning environment. Being able to stay focused and comfortable while learning will engage my students and allow for a more student centered learning style. Flexible seating allows my students to have a sense of self control and a happier feeling for learning. Their bodies will be in a more calm state so they can concentrate more on what they are learning. With their bodies calm, their brains will not have to concentrate so hard on sitting still; instead, they can focus more on retaining the knowledge they are receiving.
