These magazines will help to engage my students in science even more. Students really struggle with reading nonfiction text and understand what they are learning. These magazines will encourage my students to read more nonfiction text on science topics. They will also help my students with different science writing projects that we do throughout the year. The magazines will give them the research based information that they need to use to write with. Each student will be able to have their own magazine to highlight, write in, and take home with them. Many of my students don't have their own science books at home to read. This will give them text to have at home too!
