In this art room, the students have plenty of space to work. However, when we utilize paint or glue, there is not a great area for storing projects while they dry. We've been having to use the floor and hope it dries before the next class needs to set their projects out to dry. Otherwise, we have 2+ classes taking up floor place in the art room. The drying rack will put the students mind at ease that their work is drying in an area that it will not get dirty or stepped on. The area designated for drying right now is near where the students line up after class. This can sometimes cause issues with people stepping on the items by accident or the younger students getting excited and walking around them to see what other kids created. Having the drying racks will keep the students work neat and tidy. It will also allow for the floor space to be utilized for what it was intended, for early finishers to go create something else (i.e. artist trading cards).
