This project includes owl pellets as well as the necessary resources to conduct a successful owl pellet dissection and understanding of the skeletal system! This dissection is a great opportunity for students to observe firsthand the structure of the skeletal system! The owl pellets will be dissected by the third grade class. They will use the toothpicks to break apart the owl pellet as well as clean out the bones. The gloves are used for sanitary reasons. After the pellet is dissected and the bones are sorted, students will use construction paper and glue to create an animal out of the bones they have discovered!
