Flexible seating allows students to focus and be more independent in their studies. Students can choose a workspace that works best for them. Our class is very busy and like to have the opportunity to stand up and work. When our class has the opportunity to work where they want too, they are more focused and get more work done independently. We have been writing more and more and it can be distracting to students when everyone is working in the same place at the same level. By donating to our project you will help us become strong independent writers with the ability to make choices within our learning! When provided with pencil grips, students are more excited and willing to write. I have noticed when some students in my class are provided with the Grotto Grips, they are actually holding their pencils correctly. It improves the movements of their fingers and students have more control over their hand movements. Wooden pencils can be hard and make our hands feel sore after a full day of writing. The handwriting pencils are another option to help us have fun while writing! Having different media to write with can be really fun and exciting. Students are more engaged when they have options for writing media. When using the soft original pencil grips students hands are more relaxed and therefore not so sore at the end of the day.
