My goal is to build a set of reusable escape room boxes using some toolboxes I recently purchased. I will use these several times throughout the year, and across each of the 4 science subjects I teach, to give students engaging lessons, interactive reviews, and new opportunities for expanding on topics. Students will work together to solve problems (which is an emphasis of many state science standards) and will develop their critical thinking and logical reasoning skills while also exploring science subject matter. Students will be engaged in student-centered explorations and will benefit greatly from it. The materials that I am looking to purchase for these boxes will be a one-time expense that will allow for building multiple lessons in my science classes, and can also be used by other teachers in the building to design similar lessons in their content area.
