The purpose of the Oklahoma Autism Conference is to provide parents and educators with strategies, resources, tools, and evidence-based practices in the education and service of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The conference will include a general keynote speaker, breakout sessions and a parent panel. It also provides networking opportunities for us to exchange successes, challenges, and ideas on how to increase student performance and success in life. Many individuals with autism demonstrate challenging behaviors which can be due to frustration and decreased communication skills. As a Special Education Teacher, I would benefit in the strategies and discussion of the break-out sessions!
