Using the science of reading, I will be using manipulatives such as the cvc-blocks, letter magnets, cvc cards, and foam letters to help with phonological awareness skills. These will be used daily and weekly for different skills such as letter id, sound recognition, sight words, and reading skills. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will help me purchase more items from Secret Stories to help my students in whole group, small group, and individual practice with tough sounds, letter combinations, and reading foundations while using the manipulatives listed below. I will also be able to use the gift card to purchase more reading resources for my students to use in both reading and writing times to help their confidence in those areas!
