Whether we move while we work or we take a break from work to move, movement is essential to productivity. Besides giving students a choice from traditional seating, flexible seating stimulates the brain. This type of stimulation can help children focus and process information. Sensory input is especially helpful for students with ADHD. Children need to move. The wobbling and wiggling that students will get from these Active Learning Chairs will help increase movement in children. This will increase oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength which also helps keep young minds more alert and focused. Children will get a sense of empowerment as they are able to have some control over their environment. Most importantly, flexible seating makes learning fun!
