My writing lab will be an area where students can shine as writers. There will be a seating area with couches and comfortable seating for collaboration and discussion. There will be rugs with beanbags, so students who choose to sit on the floor can spread out. In the middle of the classroom, there will be pub style tables with bar stools, which can also be used as standing desks for students who wish to sit higher or stand as they work. These pub tables will also function as chromebook charging stations with appropriate outlets. The theme of the new classroom will be a college-lounge, focused on getting students to see themselves at the next level.
