Hurricane Harvey affected our school district as well as our school. We had many families displaced from there homes for a period of time. Our school district also had to cancel school for two complete weeks. This event affected my students in a negative way. The materials, social skill board game, Know the Code kit, foam balls, and noise reduction headphones I am requesting will allow my students to learn through games that teach and reinforce the social skills they have learned. These materials will make learning interactive and fun for my students. It will keep them engaged and reinforce that learning and school is fun. It will also help my students meet their goal of moving into an inclusion classroom.
