Teaching self-contained English classes in a high school setting is both challenging and rewarding. Over the last year and a half I invested over $300 in purchasing new novels (new to us) for my classroom. The students have enjoyed reading the novels, however because we loop I can't reuse the novels I purchased last year with my returning students. The purchase of these novels would give my 10th and 11th grade English students the ability to learn about different cultures and historical events. Not only do these novels expose my students to new ideas, they also reinforce historical events that are taught in other courses. Your support would enable my students to read 3 novels this year that previously were out of their reach.
