This year I have decided to tackle a project in the classroom called "Read Like a Bookworm"! A project that has proven successful to allow students to take ownership of what they would like to read. Students, regardless of their reading level will be able to explore the world of reading and practice their fluency while growing. Once students feel confident enough, they can read their book and earn a small treat and write their name and title on a bookworm circle. The circles are then placed on our classroom wall where we will build a bookworm through out the school year. Let's see how far we grow!!
