We will be using these novels to enrich our 7th grade curriculum library as students engage in book clubs. We have chosen books that are high interest, contemporary and socially relevant. Our hope is to inspire our students to think critically about social issues and examine these topics through discussion, writing and reflection. We will also align these novels with digital learning through the use of Google Classroom, Flipgrids, Parlay discussion, Peardeck and other interactive tools. Our 7th grade team will use these novels to provide our students with choice for book clubs and to facilitate whole class discussion. with the classic novel, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor.
