The creative students in my Theater Arts classes create so many amazing performance pieces and stage pictures that a larger school audience never get to see. Being able to incorporate digital media into our lessons would provide students with an opportunity to use technology to memorialize their performances, and share them with a broader school audience. Technology is a huge priority in today's classrooms, but resources are often limited because of the expense. Providing my students with their own digital media lab would enhance their experience of Theater Arts lessons in so many ways. Being able to not only share their work with students from other classes, but also being able to see their own performances more immediately would extend their learning by leaps and bounds! Funding this project includes purchasing a set of tablets designated for student use for recording and viewing, as well as, protective gear (cases) to keep the equipment safe and in tip-top condition over the years. It also includes a laptop designated as a hub for all media sharing and saving for posterity. Being able to have a mobile media lab would benefit over 180 students in our school, and more over the years to come!
